This week, Star Trek and Star Wars fans can both rejoice as the Municipal Band performs themes from Star Trek and music from The Mandalorian. (Live Long and Use the Force…or something.)

The program also features Dr. Anthony Williams on trombone, music from the Disney film Coco, a tribute to the Olympics, and big band favorites.

July 14 performance canceled due to weather!

Vocalist Lynne Rothrock joins the band–July 14 at The History Center and July 18 in Bever Park

This week’s Muni Band performances will feature the vocal stylings of Lynne Rothrock singing music of Duke Ellington as well as Disney favorites. The concert will also feature music by Count Basie and a medley of hits by The Beatles.

Patriotic Favorites and More! 6/30 at Bever; 7/4 at Guthridge

Join the Municipal Band for our annual celebration of America! You’ll hear patriotic favorites and much more–including vocals by Amy Friedl Stoner. Wednesday night (6/30), we’ll be in Bever Park. The music move to Hiawatha’s Guthridge Park on Sunday.

Come early for either show for a great prelude concert. At 6:30 pm on Wednesday, Brass Transit Authority will perform. Sunday night at 6:30 pm, enjoy a performance by the Derecho Winds.

This week: Brass vs. Woodwinds! (6/23 & 6/27)

Join us in Bever Park on Wednesday, June 23 or Sunday, June 27 at 7:30 pm for a concert featuring our brass choir and our woodwind choir.

Will they settle the age-old question of which kind of instrument is superior?

Probably not.

But they will play fun and exciting music.

13 June Concert Moved to History Center

The concert for tonight, 13 June, is moved to the History Center! This is due to expected temperatures in the 90s combined with direct sun on the pavement where the band would play at the park. Same great music, awesome new venue!
