Tonight (6/16) and Sunday (6/20) in Bever Park (yes, really)

Our thanks to everyone who joined us at The History Center for one or both of our Week 1 performances–and our apologies to those who missed the announcement of the late-in-the-game venue change for the Sunday concert!

This week, both concerts will, in fact, be in Bever Park. Bring some sunscreen, a hat, and your love of great live music.

If you can’t be there in person, head over to our Facebook page and enjoy the live stream–which is only available, well, live. You can also catch the Sunday night performance on KMRY radio (1450 AM, 93.1 FM, or kmryradio.com).

Tonight’s event will feature a 6:30 performance by the Iowa Youth Flute Ensemble. The Muni Band takes the stage at 7:30.

The Program:

A Festival Prelude (Alfred Reed)
Selections from “Sing” (arranged by Michael Brown)
English Folk Song Suite (Ralph Vaughan Williams)
Atlantic Zephyrs (Gardell Simons) — Featuring Rich Medd, Trombone
The Syncopated Clock (Leroy Anderson)
Big Band Spectacular (arranged by Jack Bullock)
Hurrah Storm Galop (Claudio S. Grafulla & Keler-Bela, arranged by Nicholas J. Contorno)
