The majority of our library was lost in the June 2008 flood. The Band Commission is working with FEMA and the City of Cedar Rapids to identify lost music, pieces that are in or out of print and reasonable replacements for those pieces. Thank you for your understanding!
Friday, June 13, 2008: Much of the Cedar Rapids Municipal Band's music library was stored in City Hall on Mays Island. Based on flood forecasts, the music was raised to avoid damage. Due to heavy rains that occured with the river's crest, those early forecasts were several feet under the actual crest and all the music stored in City Hall was lost.
